May 2018 Newsletter

Spring into May and enjoy the blossoms that are blossoming!

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Thank you, for providing feedback and for your continued support, in making this a great program! Working together as a team, we can accomplish much and with that, can only grow as a community.

For the month of May, we will be learning about Fairy Tales, Nursery Rhymes and Poetry. With the various writing styles we will discover the love of literature and language arts. At circle time, we will have the opportunity to share what we have written, to gain confidence and to strengthen one’s verbal reading skills.

The virtues of the month are “Creativity”, “Self-Discipline”, “Humour” and “Confidence”.

Thank you, for remembering to sign-out your child at the end of each day and for sending peanut/treenut-free items with them to eat. As the weather gets hotter, it’s recommended to send them with a water bottle but it’s not obligatory and to wear weather appropriate attire to play outside, as per our 60 minutes Active Play Policy.

Sometimes the children eat all things in their lunch and forget to save something for After School Care. When this happens, we provide them with an apple or some oatmeal and would never let them go without. Please speak with your childcare provider, if you think that this maybe the case with your child and send something extra to eat at A.S.C.

Please note: phone, text, or leave a message, to the Preschool/After School Care cellphone, if your child will be away on any given day. If you feel it’s too early or too late to call, we encourage you to let us know as soon as possible, regardless of what time of day it may be.

Monthly fees are due the 1st of every month and calendars must be in early, to ensure you get your chosen spots. It’s a first come, first serve basis. Thursdays however, we are full and at our max capacity. If there’s an opening, we will notify parents/caregivers who are on the waitlist for those days and try to give reasonable notice of availability.

• Rate $21/ day
• Registration fee $25 per child (non-refundable/ secures spot) either new or returning to the program
• Ten calendars with dates chosen, multiplied by $21/day, per child
• Ten post-dated cheques for the calendar year, in the sum total of days attending
• Current photo of your child to attach to their file

Important Dates:
• May 18th 2018 – Pro-D-Day (No School or After School Care)
• May 21st 2018 – Victoria Day (No School or After School Care)

Thank you,
