November 2019 A.S.C.

Hello Parents and Caregivers,

We have a lot of new and old faces this year, so we want to say “Welcome!” and “Welcome back!”

The children enjoyed their Halloween party and most of them participated in wearing their costumes. Great choices everyone! Thank you to the parents and caregivers, who sent their child something to share with everyone!

November we will be focused on Recycling and reusing materials to create new crafts. If you have any that we could use, it would be greatly appreciated!

The virtues of the month are “Responsibility” and “Creativity”. During circle time the children are learning public speaking by reading the virtue cards amongst each other and getting comfortable reading out loud.

Now that weather has turned cooler with the crisp Autumn air, let us remember to dress appropriately for the elements and keep warm.

Please send your child with an extra snack and a good alternative when it’s cold is oatmeal.

Don’t forget to sign your child out at the end of the day.

After School Care fees are due the first of every month by ten post dated cheques and along with calendars. It is a first come, first served basis. Please be advised if you are late in paying and have not handed in your calendars, you are not guaranteed a spot for the following months. You will also be the first to be called if we are over capacity and your child won’t be able to attend. We will work with you to come up with a solution and are very understanding when it comes to life’s ups and downs. That sometimes unexpected events happen or there’s financial hardships but please notify us as soon as possible. Thank you!

We are seeing more and more friendships being formed amongst the children. Leadership skills are shining through and most of all a lot of kindness is being shown.

Don’t forget to turn your clocks back one hour on November 3rd!

If you have any concerns please don’t hesitate to voice them, either in person to the manager or to staff, by phone or text (604) 845-1800, or through our website to the director.

If you have any ideas for field trips or some nifty craft ones, feel free to share them! We love creative ideas and welcome them!
